Founded by technical industry experts, MarchUP realizes that technology is constantly advancing and that technical skills are always required to be updated. We also know that contractors or temporary employees do not have access to hone and keep their skills updated. The MarchUP community allows all its members to be able to communicate with other experts in that speciality as well as have access to labs for personal career development or to address specific vendor issues.

What makes MarchUP Unique

Our resource algorithm is very different from the traditional transaction based staffing world as it exists today. The reason for this is very simple—Complexity. The clients today have complex environments that require unique skillsets.

  1. First area is to recruit the right candidate and ‘groom’ or ‘train them’ in specific technologies thru either mentorship or our internal technology lab system. Our recruits range from university graduate students that require a “kick start” and mentorship to experienced immigrants that are new to Canada and certified and need some guidance on how to get off the ground.
  2. Ongoing Training via our Labs. MarchUP differentiates itself from other staffing companies as its core focus is in meeting the complex technical requirements of its clients. We have on-site labs that contain gear from the most common vendors (Cisco, Microsoft, Juniper, VMware Oracle, Palo Alto, Avaya, Genesys, Genband, Mitel, EMC, Oracle-ACME, Polycom). These labs are available to our community of candidates to utilize for their own training as well as assist them in their existing placements. The labs are governed using ITIL processes and kept up to date. A Community member can request access and identify his/her requirement and the environment can be made ready for him with the right mix of vendors. Mentorship is also done using these labs. Experienced Engineers use these labs to train and provide guidance to new recruits and walk through integration scenarios and interoperability between vendors that are commonly experienced with our client base.

This community approach allows a constantly evolving training environment that a community member can leverage when in between jobs or even on a job that has a specific unique requirement.
